Now we’re going to look at some alternative materials for building with. Some of them are new, like recycled plastic, but some have been around for a very long time, like earth.

What is good about each of them is that they have lower embodied energy than many of the traditional materials we have already looked at. Because of that we should think carefully about how we might use them for making buildings now.

So let’s learn some more before we decide which ones we’d like to use…
